Laura Dahbar Nutricionista
Laura Dahbar is a nutritionist for women in perimenopause and menopause. I designed her brand identity and took it across more than ten pieces.
The context
A menopause
specialist
Laura chose one area of nutrition, perimenopause and menopause, and she doesn't do diets. Her clients are women 45 and up who feel their bodies changing and want to be taken seriously at this stage of life.
See it live
The challenge
The weight-loss
clinic look
Nutrition brands usually lean on green leaves, forks and apples. That fits a weight-loss clinic, and it sends the wrong message to a woman going into menopause. Laura also shows up in a lot of places: on Instagram, in her lab coat at talks, on her office letterhead. In every one of them, people had to know it was her.
What I did
A symbol from
her signature
I drew the LD monogram over Laura's own signature. No one else has that signature, so the symbol was hers from day one. The palette has eight colors, mostly warm neutrals, with a few quiet greens and some deeper tones that give it the weight of a clinic.
The outcome
Over ten pieces,
not one fork
I tested the brand on more than ten pieces, one by one, from a tote bag and tumbler to the lab coat, letterhead, social posts and a street billboard. None of them uses a fork, an apple or a leaf as a symbol. The monogram, the colors and the headline typeface tie them together.

In one line
“Nutritionist brands usually get a leaf and an apple. Laura's got her own handwriting, and nobody can copy that.”
