Forza (mentorship challenge)
Radar is Forza's app that catches students' ideas and turns them into content plans, carousels and reels. I designed the name, symbol, colors, screens and pieces, for a mentorship challenge.
The context
Every AI app
looks the same
Before drawing anything, I opened every AI content app I could find. Purple, gradients, little sparkles, everyone selling magic. Radar doesn't do magic. It catches the idea a student had in the shower before it dies. So I went the other way: Forza's deep dark, which students already know, and one single color to flag a signal.
See it live
The challenge
It doesn't search.
It catches.
A radar doesn't chase anything. It stays on and picks up whatever passes by, and that's what the app does with ideas that show up on a client call, on the way home or in a chat with the group. That's the concept: signal and voice. The part that catches is precise, a machine. The part that hands it back is human, in the voice of whoever had the idea.
What I did
The name
that spins
The name has three round letters in the middle, a, d and a, and I turned their counters into radar screens. In each one the sweep sits at a different angle, and read left to right it goes full circle. Every letter is drawn from scratch on a single grid. For the symbol, the sweep's trail became nine bars that draw a voice wave.
The outcome
Phosphor
to signal
Radar lives inside Forza, so it inherited Forza's deep dark and champagne. Phosphor is Radar's own, the color of an old radar screen, and it shows up sparingly on purpose: on the button, the signal and the dot that ends a sentence. The brand went onto the app, the watch, the welcome kit, the t-shirt and the stickers.

In one line
“You read radar and see the radar at work. The line that sums it up became the tagline: no idea slips by.”
